Indispensable for seasoning tomato sauce. Use fresh or dry in soups, stews, with vegetables, eggs, and fish. For all year use, dry the leaves and store in jars and bottles with stoppered tops. Gather leaves just before the flower buds begin to open and before the heat of day begins to decrease the fragrant oil in the leaves. Dry in shaded, warm place. Turn leaves daily. When dry, crumble leaves and remove stems. Plants grow 1 - 1½' tall.
